Latest Updates from Our Project:
Inching Towards the Goal Line
– Tue, Jun 23, 2020 at 12:21:31 AM
This update only applies to backers at the TAS Member and Patron levels!
Two 60-card sets, "Rogue's Gallery" and "Central Supply Catalog" have now been shipped from us to all TAS Member and Patron level backers, except for one unfortunate backer in Hawaii that we're getting out soon.
These sets complete the remaining pledged individually-inspired cards. We know it's been a long wait, and we can't say enough how awesome you've all been through the process!
Some domestic backers have already received their copies, the rest should get them in the coming week. International backers will experience a lengthier shipping delay, unfortunately.
With this release, except for occasional troubleshooting, we will have finally completed fulfillment on all goals.
An invaluable aid is the Traveller Deck Builder, a tremendous fan site that provides full pictures and rosters of all cards, along with the ability to make, save, share and comment on decks!
We're going to ply the mains as long as we can, so we'll see you all in the black!
Backer Card Set Update Update
– Fri, Jan 31, 2020 at 09:50:59 PM
A short follow up to yesterday's post:
As many of you have noted, but as we failed to appreciate yesterday, the BackerKit addresses are locked. This happened automatically when we marked the rewards as shipped originally, so you can't change them even with the link. But we can, so you can always message us with any changes.
However, please note that the free pack distribution is only open to backers at the TAS Member and Patron levels. These were the $250 and $500 levels, respectively, and the total population of these two levels is 24 people.
We can't publish a public list owning to privacy issues, but there are many ways to check your own pledge level, with perhaps the easiest being by going to the "campaign" tab. The level you selected will be at the top of the "Support" column on the right hand side (it'll say "You Selected").
These cards will be available for purchase either directly from us through our webstore, or from retailers who order packs from our distributor. The purpose of the free pack distribution was to get the TAS Member and Patrons who, as part of their pledge were entitled a custom card, the remaining item of their backer kit.
Backer Card Set Arrived!
– Thu, Jan 30, 2020 at 11:58:39 PM
tl;dr: TAS and Patron level pledges were entitled to a backer card, and we published a new set to include all the backer cards that hadn't been in other sets. We also made a second, non-backer set. TASMemberand Patron level pledgers will get both sets for free. So it is essential that all TAS and Patron level backers double check their BackerKit shipping address and update it if it has changed.
We are going to start shipping these out the week of February 8th, so please don't tarry!
Originally, our plan with the backer cards was to include them in future sets over time. However, the sets we wanted to make, additional ship decks, kept getting pushed for financial and logistical reasons. At a certain point, we had to accept that our ideal plan was just taking an unacceptably long time to execute.
So we decided to make a set, Rogue's Gallery, that would include all the remaining backer cards due so that nobody would be left hanging. At the same time, we commissioned enough art for a second set, Central Supply Catalog, to include more support options for the game.
These sets are now complete. We've received them from China and so we want to ship them out to our TAS and Patron backers. Each TAS Member and Patron backer will receive both sets for free, as our insufficient but sincere expression of appreciation for your support and patience! If you are a TAS Member or Patron backer, please go to Backerkit and check your shipping information. We'll start shipping these out the week of February 8th, so don't wait!
Each of these sets includes three copies of twenty distinct cards, for a total of sixty in a pack. They will both be available for sale on our webstore and retail through our distributor to the general public soon for $12.99 each.
What's next for the Traveller Customizable Card Game?
We plan to continue supporting the game as long as there's interest. We have a series of videos availabe on our YouTube channel about deck building and other aspects of play.
On BoardGameGeek, players have been sharing their thoughts and opinions. Whether you love or hate the it, your fellow gamers could benefit from your assessment. So if you haven't been by to rate it, we hope you'll consider dropping in! Our Facebook page has a growing community as well!
The TravellerCCG Deckbuilder is an excellent fan-made site with a complete card listing and deck building functions. We can't recommend it enough!
We have also expanded into the realm of Print-on-Demand with three Mini Ship Packs on DriveThruCards. The Type HT Bounty Hunter, Safari Ship and Gazelle Close Escort! Each Mini Ship Pack comes with 11 cards.
Once again, thank you all for your continuing support, your understanding and your enthusiasm!
Light Peeps Through Tunnel

tl;dr: Backer set and another set are at the printers, in queue. No firm ETA on them, but they're making their way through the line. All TAS Members and Patrons will receive the entire Backer Set, instead of just their cards.
If you are a TAS Member or Patron backer and you have changed addresses, please contact us!
All art for the next two 60 card sets (three copies each of 20 cards) is complete, the cards are templated, and the files transmitted to our printer. Now we go in the queue to get samples printed and once we receive those, we sign off (or fix errors) and move to final printing.
There are two sets, both discussed here using placeholder names. The Backer Set contains all the still pending backer cards. All TAS Members and Patron level backers will receive a copy of the entire set.
We know it's woefully insufficient to express our regret at the delays, but we wanted to express our appreciation to our backers who have been incredibly gracious and patient thus far. Really, Traveller is the best community out there, and while we know it's been too long coming, we hope you will take some comfort from the fact that some of the delay is due to us trying to make the best product possible.
There's another 60 card set that is focused around more gear and upgrades, primarily. That will be printed around the same time.
Both will be available on our website and from our distributor, for retail orders.
We're excited to introduce the first ship focused on the heretofore neglected military capability. The Gazelle is also an effective piracy platform, though its innate defenses may make it attractive to people who find pirates bothersome as well!
This is the first mini ship pack we've released. There's at least two more pending, and if the format proves popular, we may use it to expand the game further, exploring Traveller concepts that don't warrant an entire deck of their own.
By the way, if you're going to be in Pennsylvania next weekend, check out TravellerCon! While we can't make it this year, we keep hoping the stars will line up right and get us there eventually.
Happy May Day!

tl;dr 60 card set containing remaining backer cards due out late summer/fall. TAS cards shipping, should all be shipped out by end of week. Traditional retail expansions coming, but we are also going to be releasing Print-on-Demand "minipacks." First minipack, the Gazelle Close Escort, likely out late Spring.
Happy May Day everyone! The Traveller holiday made famous by the Beowulf's distress call is extra special this year, with the launch of Marc Miller's Traveller5 Kickstarter.
Here at the card game we may have been a little quiet, but now that we have a plan in place, we're ready to share the details.
TAS Cards
TAS cards have started shipping. We expect to have them all out the door by end of week.
Backer Cards
The remaining backer cards are being put into a 60 card set similar to Aliens of the Imperium and Trouble on the Mains, 3 copies each of 20 distinct cads. We're going to send 3 copies of each of the backer's cards in this set to the backer, so you don't need to buy the pack just to get your card.
Please note all the cards in this set are new to the card game, the backer cards we've already completed are not included in it.
We know some of you have been waiting a long time, and we do sincerely regret the unreasonable delay. It was always our intention to put the remaining backer cards in follow up sets, but the bumpy roll out we had completely ruined our timeline. You've all been fantastic in your support, so we hope you'll be happy when you see the cards.
The art for the set has been completed, here's some samples:
Minipacks
We do not intend to abandon traditional retail releases, but we realized that there was simply no way we would ever get to do full ship decks for all the Traveller ships we love. So we've decided to release Print-on-Demand minipacks through sites like DriveThruRpg or Game Crafter.
These sets will have 11 cards: 1 ship card, 2 copies each of 2 distinct adventure cards, and 3 copies each of 2 distinct captain's cards.
This gives a full playset of all the cards in the minipack. We intend to release the first minipack in late Spring.
Staying Up to Date
If you're at all like me, you don't necessarily enjoy getting a ton of emails. We know that when we post a Kickstarter update, all our backers get an email, and that can be a bit annoying. So we reserve these updates for important announcements. But the downside could be that if you are interested in the card game, but only know it from the kickstarter, you could be missing out.
Our website, facebook and boadgamegeek pages are the best ways to keep up with all Traveller Customizable Card Game news.
Conclusion
I know this update is a bit long, thanks for sticking through to the end. And, as always, thank you for being the best community any game developer could hope for!
